Steam piping systems are widely used in engineering practice, to carry out research on the structural vibration of steam piping systems is of great importance. However, the current academic achievement in steam pipeline dynamics is still very limited due to the shortage in theoretical models, algorithms, etc. In this paper, in-depth research on dynamic model and algorithms of fluid conveying pipeline was conducted, and the influence of steam parameters on pipe vibration, steam and pipe structure interaction were analysed, as well as problems of internal fluid-induced vibration, etc.On account of the shortage of previous pipeline system dynamic models and algorithms, taking into account the influence of the fluid pressure, flow rate and other parameters in this paper, the fluid conveying straight and elbow pipe 14-equation models were modified; For the first time the models and transfer matrix of arbitrary branches were established, the transfer matrix method that can solve the natural characteristics, frequency domain and time domain response of pipeline system with arbitrary branches were accomplished, as well as the transfer matrix algorithm for the fluid pressure wave non-reflected boundary condition, then the models and algorithms were validated by numerical examples.Based on the theoretical model, the influence laws and characteristics of steam parameters on straight and complex piping systems natural characteristics, stability and dynamic response were analyzed and summarized in detail in this paper, and some useful conclusions were obtained. In order to reveal the features of the interaction between steam and pipeline structure, the importance of possion interaction and a couple of joint interactions in steam piping system was analyzed, the influence of fluid-solid-interaction on the natural characteristics of the piping system and the fluid pressure wave propagation was discussed. At the end of the paper, the complexity of actual steam flow within the piping system was considered, through the fluid-structure-interaction numerical simulation method, the influence of turbulence and steam flow rate on the flow-induced vibration were preliminary analysed, and the feasibility of theoretical models in solving practical problems was demonstrated.
