To meet the requirement of high-speed, heavy-haul, AC transmission, locomotive has higher requirement for equipments. Wiper is one of the important locomotive equipment, it directly affects the vision of driver. Now wipers generally have high failure rate, for example they are instability when facing strong airflow, and their motor is easily destroyed, and the controller does not fit to all kinds of windshield wiper, therefore, the upgrating or renovation of wiper is a problem needing to be solved.Because double-speed motor has short service life, non-stability, and the method of DC motor regulating speed is unreasonable and so on. The paper designs a kind of wiper control system which based on pulse-width modulation. It can realize many speeds of motor.For locomotive power have high-amplitude impulse voltage when it changes its operation states. The module of intelligent switch is good for reducing impact of high-amplitude impulse voltage, it is composed of two PNP transistors in series. The control module not only can regulate PWM, but also have the function of temperature monitoring, short circuit and overload protection. It solves the problem of damage of motor when motor is locked. Driving circuit use MOSFET, which have high break down votage, no ring effects, fast switch speeed, low heat dissipation.For the protection of overload is weak, the controller begins to detect overload after wipers work a while, when wipers are starting. The controller detects overload at any time, when wipers are running. Two ways are helpful to wiper arms locked and rendezvous of two trains, pass through a tunnel.For two wipers bar suffer different load, two motors do not work synchronously. Taking master-slave control two motors. Suppose the cycle of master motor is constant. Slave motor regulates the cycle by fuzzy PID. As slave motor follows master motor, they finally work synchronously. The controller has been put into service. Experiment results show that the locomotive wiper performance well, and achieve the anticipated goal.
