This paper researches the forward image compensation control system of airborne digital camera. Aimed at the mechanical structure of the image motion compensation system, which is part of a airborne camera project of Changchun Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, a control system is designed. This system controls the speed of a DC servo motor, which acts as the diver of the mechanical structure, holding the precision of speed at exposal period and restraining the periodical vibration of speed caused by the cam and in turn preventing vibration of the mechanical structure.Firstly, this paper confirms the scheme of a velocity close loop control system, and according to the scheme a control circuit is designed around a AVR SCM, which is its core. Based on this control circuit and aimed at the mathematic model of the DC motor, which is gained by measurement and calculation, a lead-lag control system is designed and applied in the project. Then, to detect the space for performance improvement, various systems are designed by the self-adaptive control theory. Following the modular design theory, this paper writes the control program by C.After compiling and debugging programs designed for different controller, experiments are carried out, providing result data for all these controllers. The paper analyzes and compares these results and chooses the controller with best performance. Using this best controller, the system's performance is improved than the lead-lag one.
