Dimensional Straight Isolator Shock Train Characteristics

The text first study the shock train's character in the isolator on the same Mach number and differ-back pressure, It was observed that with the increase of back pressure the shock moved forward and the shock changed into single shock when the back pressure approached the maximum pressure capability, it was observed that the maximum pressure capability can be deterMand as a normal shock standing at the exit of the isolator with no back pressure. With the increase of the back pressure, the temperature-hoist ratio on the exit increased while the Mach number on the exit decreased. In the differ-Mach number and the maximum back pressure, the increase of Mach number made shock train and boundary layer disturbed increased, the area of the bundle of separating enlarged, the shock train become slanting much easier. The shock train move forward with the augment of the aspect ratio on the same condition.
