The Pt/foam-Ni,Pd/foam-Ni,Pt-Pd/foam-Ni,Pt-PANi/foam-Ni and Pd-PANi/foam-Ni electrodes were prepared by chemical replacement and chemical plating method. Catalytic activities of the prepared electrodes were studied by Linear Sweep Voltammetry curves(LSV),Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS),SEM and EDS techniques in 6mol/L NaOH solution. The catalytic mechanism was analyzed.The main carrier of the catalyst was foam-Ni in this paper. The experiment results show that all of these electrodes have catalytic activity in alkaline solution, however they have differences in catalytic activity.(1) Among the Pt/foam-Ni, Pd/foam-Ni and Pt-Pd/foam-Ni electrodes, which were prepared by depositing Pt and Pd on the foam-Ni, Pt-Pd/foam-Ni electrodes have the best catalytic activity. It illustrates the binary catalyst has better performance than the unitary catalyst.(2) The Pd-PANi/foam-Ni and Pt-PANi/foam-Ni electrodes were prepared by scan polymerizing polyaniline on the foam-Ni with cyclic voltammetry scan method, and then by depositing Pt and Pd on electrode surface with the chemical plating method. The electrodes exhibited good catalytic activity in NaOH solution. However, the catalytic activity of the catalysts prepared under the same concentration of plating solution exhibited the differences with the different configuration of polyaniline.At the same time, the effect of the concentration of reducer N2H4·H2O on the catalytic activity of Pt-PANi/foam-Ni electrode which is prepared with chemical plating method were investigated.
