| This paper refers to the supernormal manganese in Dongzhen reservoir which is the resource of Longqiao water plant in Putian City. 1# pool with normal preoxidation and 2# pool with PPC peroxidation were selected for the study. Then the effect of manganese removal, coagulation aid and organics removal were studied by dynamic detection of Mn content in 1# and 2# pools. During the test, the influent turbidity increased highly when the strong typhoon"Nanmadol"hit Putian City. The combined application of PPC and PAFCS were used to resolve high influent turbidity, the results showed that:1. Peroxidation by potassium permanganate can be used in Dongzhen reservoir with good manganese removal effect. The rate of manganese removal in 1# pool was 91.5% ,higher than 28% in 2# pool with an increase of 63.5%, and there was no supernormal phenomenon.2. PPC preoxidation can improve the coagulation effect and decrease the coagulant addition. The average influent turbidity of raw water was 31.9 NTU in Longqiao water plant from june to august in 2011. The addition of PAC was 21.9 mg/L in 1# pool and 14.6 mg/L in 2# pool, decreased by 33.3%. It was considered that the manganese dixoide which was produced in PPC preoxidation processing had the coagulation effect.3. PPC preoxidation processing can benefit the organics removal. The processing had effect on the removal of CODMn, TOC, UV254 and Ammonia Nitrogen increasing by 13%, 19.2%, 11.9% and 22.8% respectively.4. precursors were reduced with PPC preoxidation instead of chlorination before processing. decreased by 46.2%. Then the product of carcinogen followed chlorination was controlled(e.g. trichloromethane)5. PAFCS had a better effect on the raw water with a high influent turbidity caused by incidents as super typhoon"Nanmadol". The influent turbidity can be controlled below 1 NTU with 50% of PAC addition. |
