In recent years, with the energy crisis and the improvement of environmental protection requirements, lightweight technology has been continuously developing in the car. For transport vehicles, the light weight not only reduces fuel consumption & improves fuel economy, it also improves transport efficiency, and enhances economic efficiency. Based on the structural design of tank chassis systems integration is used to achieve to equal strength & lightweight design, taken the lightweight tank is to analyze the basic tanker lightweight performance and reliability.First of all, the structural characteristics of the LNG tankers is analyzed to propose the new LNG tanker lightweight design based on tank chassis systems integration, the main lightweight methods of LNG tanker with the design principles is discussed to design the new LNG tanker's structure. The lightweight effects of the tanker with lightweight design is also simply evaluated.Secondly, it's completed the pre-treatment work of finite element model in software, the simulation of four conditions of tankers are conducted in solving ware based on the standard "JB/T 4783-2007 cryogenic liquid tanker", it's determined stress evaluation criteria for the pressure vessel and other components & evidenced that the stress met strength requirements. Also the stability of external pressure cylinder is checked.Then, it's got a random road excitation of the tanker based on the actual operating conditions in MATLAB. Establishing virtual prototype model of tank in Adams is to get the dynamic load of all axis including tractor and walking devices,it's ready for the next vibration fatigue prediction.Finally, because of the different alternating load suffered between the tank contents and external devices, the different methods of fatigue prediction is chosen. For the contents of the device, the "JB4732-95" standard is used for life prediction; for external assembly structure, the fatigue life prediction is completed based on the theory of vibration in software by defining S-N curve of the material.
