At the present stage, the innovative technologies of wind turbine have many difficulties for the experimental research and verification. Therefore, establish the wind turbine model and simulate research on this basis, it has practical value and academic significance for the innovative technology verification of wind turbine.In this paper, use the wind turbine design and analysis software to establish the 3MW wind turbine model through parameters, research individual pitch control strategy and load control strategy in the case of blade imbalance based on this model. Then, simulate them.For the study of individual pitch control strategy, first establish the linear time- varying model of the rotor and make it into the state space variables. Then, make the state space variables into the linear time invariant model through coordinate transformation. Based on this model achieve the design of individual pitch control strategy and system with controller. The loads of wind turbine using individual pitch control strategy are simulated under wind shear and tower shadow and compare with collective pitch control strategy. This paper also uses rainflow cycle counting to analyse the fatigue damage for the two control strategies. The results show that individual pitch control strategy has better effect than collective pitch control strategy for the load fluctuation and weakens the effect of wind shear and tower shadow, extends the working life of wind turbine.This paper also researchs the load control strategy in the cases of blade imbalance. For icing blade, propose individual pitch control strategy to reduce the load fluctuation. The simulation results show that individual pitch control strategy is more suitable than collective pitch control strategy to control the load fluctuation caused by icing blade. For blade lose load caused by ultimate loads, simulate the tower loads with the tower coordinate system. Propose the prediction method of ultimate loads for load fluctuation to avid the damage by ultimate loads.
