In order to meet the needs of human energy requirements, human develop the mining of coal, oil, gas and nuclear energy and so on so force But coal mining accidents, oil pipeline damage caused by oil spills, the Japanese nuclear power plant leaks, etc., both human and paid the price. At the same time, the use of carbon dioxide produced by burning fossil fuels that cause global warming. The use of these energy sources brings a lot of side effects. Solar energy, wind energy, tidal energy and other new energy sources, is the use of nature's internal power. The process is collected, so they are the clean energy. More and more countries attach great importance to the development and use, and constantly increase input. Solar energy is the most extensive, most stable, and the use of the most convenient energy in the clean energy. In recent years, the use of solar energy, achieved fruitful results.The core lies of solar energy convert to electrical energy is in the two aspects:the solar conversion efficiency and how to track the sun automatically receive more radiation. Solar automatic tracking system with differential pressure type, photoelectric, depending on track type and so on many kinds of methods, each have its advantages and disadvantages. But in terms of tracking accuracy and intelligent, there are deficiencies.In order to improve the utilization efficiency of solar energy, this paper puts forward a kind of image processing and visual movement trajectory combining methods, to achieve high precision sun tracking solar panels. Depending on the trajectory is a capture range, to capture the images after processing. The centroid coordinates and image coordinates of the center of the deviation, drive the horizontal and pitching two stepper motor, so that the sun is always at the center of the image spot position, so that the solar panels toward the sun. In the sun after the capture, the system self correcting, so that as the day of trajectory tracking of a more accurate positioning, improve the system adaptability to the environment. This method provides a new approach for the use of solar energy, because it tracking stability, high precision.The proposed method has been verified in the experimental platform, as the method of combine the trajectory and the image processing has been improved the efficiency and accuracy than other solar automatic tracking system. During the experiment, the system can steadily track the sun. But system without using PV panels, can not directly compare the receiver efficiency, to be perfect in a follow-up work.
