Nowadays the big trend of the development for high-speed rail is high-speed and electrification. It is essential for the locomotive to run efficiently. The performance of locomotive running is affected by its current collection quality. The current collection quality mainly correlates with the contact force of pantograph-catenary. The stable and continuous current collector is protected by the desired contact force for the locomotive when it is running. Currently the hot issue of research is how to maintain the desired contact force for the pantograph-catenary. The effective way to resolve this topic is to adopt pantograph active control technology. A set of test apparatus of pantograph active control is developed to this problem. The main are as follow:The article analyzes the domestic and foreign research status of pantograph active control. A pantograph drive and control device is developed on the basis of the laboratory pantograph-catenary arc occur device. The test apparatus of pantograph active control is developed through the way that the hydraulic drive cylinder is replaced by the use of electrical control and mechanical drive. Test results showed that the contact force can be controlled by the apparatus.Firstly, the simulating apparatus of pantograph is designed from the pantograph active control mechanism. The mass linear model and drive unit of the pantograph are involved through the analysis of the coupled model of the pantograph-catenary. The basic characteristics of the real pantograph can be simulated.Secondly, a set of pantograph active control system is designed based on the DSP and the active control theory. The electrical control part includes data acquisition, signal reception, and control part and the motor drive section. The data acquisition system comprises the original signal acquisition, signal conditioning unit, A/D conversion unit. The piece of signal reception and control incorporate the effective reception of signal, the design of the software filter algorithm, the motor control algorithm and control signal output. The motor driving device includes the design of the level signal conditioning board, the motor drive and motor over-current protection circuit.Finally, this device simple achieves the active adjustment of pantograph when the electric locomotive is running or stationary. At the end of this article, the detected waveforms of the device are given and it lays a good foundation to study the high-speed rail pantograph active control.
