Electric vehicle regenerative energy recovery method is one new technology which improves the use of efficiency of battery electric energy for electric vehicles and increases the mileage per single charge. It is a research focus at home and abroad.Based on existing technology the paper designs and develops the regenerative energy recovery and utilization system from small electric vehicle braking energy. Mainly works are as follows:1. Regenerative braking of electric vehicle recycling research status and application prospect are introduced in detail. Based on the working rule analyzing for the vehicle braking system moving and the transfer of energy during working an energy regenerative programs is proposed which using the electromagnetic generator auxiliary brake reaction force.2. In the analysis of working principle of brushless DC motor for electric vehicle, a solution which uses the driving the motor works in reverse process to regenerate energy is proposed. The method bases on super capacitor. The system hardware structure is given as well.3. A microcontroller-based Atmega64 and super-capacitors regenerative braking energy recovery control circuit system is implemented. The key circuit blocks are analyzed and the feasibility tests of key circuit modules are carried out.4. The control circuit system software is designed. The software can implement the control and regenerative braking energy recovery and utilization for electric vehicle.5. The field experiment results show the renewable energy recycling system can significantly improve the efficient use of battery power with the brake frequency increases, and increased mileage per single charge of electric vehicle.
