Repeated impact component is the common operation condition in engineering, such as machine needle,hammer of the automatic mechanism.The contact surface is prone to appear various forms of injury,and even can lead the failure of the component. In order to solve the problem of lack research tools of the lifetime of critical components of mechanism under repeat impact load, an impact fatigue testing machine was designed.The impact fatigue testing machine is designed to be mechanical-structured in consideration of movement reliability of mechanism and cost. The repeated impact can be achieved mainly by the energy transmission of cam and spring.The testing machine can achieve the stepless adjustment of impact frequency 0-17Hz and impact distance 30mm.Three different rigidity spring were designed. The testing machine controls the impact force value by changing the compressive deformation of spring.The data of repeated impact load is acquired by means of these instrements. Such as 9331B type sensor of Kistle,Kistler type charge amplifier PX4472B data card of NI company,MEMRECAM GX-1 ST-751 type high speed camera and personal computer.The virtual engine model of the machine is built to analyses the stability of machine movement.The test results shows that the machine operates stability,controls reliably,and is approximate to simulate the actual working condition of the parts under repeated impact load.The testing machine finite element model is also modeled to analyses the contact stress of the component.
