The magnetic field measuring instrumentation, as a common instrumentation for the research of electromagnetic field, is widely used in the research of nuclear physics rsearch, motor manufacturing and testing of electromagnetic fields such as environmental monitoring. In recent years, more and more research biased in favor of the electromagnetic field of research more dynamic three-dimensional magnetic field distribution, with the scientific and technological development and the introduction of various high-tech. And traditional magnetic measuring instrumentations (tesla meter, gauss meter) are difficult to meet the requirements of the dynamic magnetic field measurements.For the needs,that electromagnetic research develop to spatial in this years,the method of measuring 3-D magnetic field strength by 3-D sensor probe was proposed.In this paper, we design a intelligent 3-D magnetic field measuring instrument with a USB interface controlled by a microprocessor.It can not only complete the real-time measurement of 3-D magnetic field and calculate the strength of the magnetic field vector.but also can store data and transmit them to the host computer for further processing with the USB interface.The instrument is based on Hall sensor probe to detects the magnetic field strength in three directions,and it can acquisit and storage the data,calculate 3-D magnetic field real-time peak on the LCD display controlled by the microcontroller and CPLD.And it can use the USB interface to transfer data to the host computer.The host computer use LABWINDOWS/CVI to design programs,which can process the data,draw graphs of 3-D magnetic field and vector waveform.The programs also can display the ectreme and time.Finally,we use the 3-D magnetic field measuring instrumentation we developed to do a large number of system experimental studies. Through the magnetic field measurement of pulsed power supply,it' s a good way to verify the correctness of the entire system functionality, reliability and stability.
