Time-sequence control instrument is an important equipment of the exterior ballistics multi-site test and the static explosion test of warhead. According to the weapon test requirement of a unit and modular design method, a multi-channel time-sequence control instrument is designed on the basis of summarizing the existing instruments which have the disadvantage of low time-delay channel, low time-delay precision, low intelligent level and unable portability.1) The paper research and analysis the current situation of time-sequence control technology and the principle of time-sequence control equipment, and designed the overall scheme of the multi-channel time-sequence control instrument based on the MCU and programmable logic device.2) The time-sequence control hardware circuit and logic circuit are designed, and simulated the time-sequence control logic circuit in time-sequence and function. The hardware circuit of time-sequence control equipment contains host MCU control unit, time-sequence control unit, input signal isolation unit, output signal isolation and driving unit. Time-sequence control logic circuit which embedded in the time-sequence control unit of the FPGA include input trigger signal conditioning module, address decoding control module, delay time latch module, time-sequence control module and pulse width adjusting module, which achieve the effect of time-sequence control of input signal and output the delay time trigger signal.3) The control program of multi-channel time-sequence control equipment which include host and slave MCU software is designed, the control program receive and load delay time at stand alone model or CPU model, and control the working state of whole instrument and every module.4) The paper design the front panel and back panel multi-channel time-sequence control instrument of multi-channel time-sequence control instrument, and complete the design of the prototype. Factors which affect the precision of time-sequence control instrument is listed and analyzed. Under the laboratory conditions, the designed prototype of multi-channel time-sequence control instrument is adjusted and tested by imitating the field test environment. The results show that the designed instrument has the characteristics of multiple time-delay channels, easy portability, high intelligent level and time-delay precision, can meet the requirement of instrument.
