Reinforced concrete shear wall is the main lateral force-resisting components in the RC frame-shear wall structure. The damage of the RC shear wall, which is difficult to be repaired after earthquake, is a major cause of the collapse of the RC frame-shear wall structure. According to the features of the near-field earthquake, low cyclic loading experiments were carried out on 5 large size RC shear wall models. Based on the results, the anti-seismic property of RC shear wall and its shear strength are analyzed. The research work of this paper could be summarized as the following:(1) Devised the entire test schedule and deployment, designed and assembled the test equipments. Designed and constructed 5 large size RC shear wall models, conducted the material property test of the steel bar and concrete used. Devised the loading policy and measuring policy in detail accordingly.(2) The test results reveal:In low cyclic repeated loading test, for the reinforced concrete shear wall with larger shear deformation, the order of the largest damage do not have too big effect on the final skeleton curve; Accumulative energy dissipation ability has nothing to do with the sequence of the peak displacement ; The computation of the average normalized energy dissipated per cycle, for cycles after the first diagonal cracking, indicates that this number is nearly constant around 0.20 ; The initial large displacement effect of near-field seismic does not have apparent effect on the average energy dissipation of the reinforced concrete shear wall; The component proportion of the maximum deformation damage in the total damage is bigger.(3) According to the soften truss model, the shear capacity of each shear wall was calculated with self-designed program, and also use the finite element software ANSYS and some kinds of shear capacity calculation formula to calculate the shear capacity, finally, the calculated results were compared with test results.
