With the progress of human society, health conditions have been improved to a great extent, and thus have the average life expectancy of people has been substantial growth, increased longevity of populations, the overall global gradually entered the stage of an aging society. The elderly are a special group, physiological and psychological, physical and mental aspects of the economy and consumption capacity has its own characteristics and these characteristics is more significant with increasing age. China has entered the population, aging society, older people demand more and more diversified products, the trend of personalized product imagery is an effective way to express the emotional needs of seniors. For a long time, designers are relying on their own experience, intuition, inspiration to solve the problem of product image of the elderly, the lack of effective theoretical and experimental support, it is difficult to accurately and efficiently to meet the emotional needs of older persons.Basis of the theory of artificial neural network (based Artificial Neural Networks) model of computing, emotional engineering, etc., combined with universal design, barrier-free design, ergonomics, design theory, walkers for the elderly, for example, through content analysis, interview, semantic differential method (SD), genetic algorithm, the innovative design of the study emotional needs of the elderly, their emotional needs in the image level to achieve the structured expression, and the related experiments and analysis, as The innovative design of the elderly in terms of theory and technology to lay a solid foundation of research.The main research work are as follows:Constructed by the content analysis of elderly walkers image dimensions, and so the development of interview outline-depth interviews of stakeholders, the application of semantic differences in the legal system to set the elderly walkers Imagery Questionnaire;Then, two aging in the elderly disabled elderly people to the issuance of the elderly walker image perception questionnaire, using the statistical software SPSS for analysis;Second, using the Matlab image questionnaire results, the establishment of the BP neural network model;Again, the use of genetic algorithms to generate the combination of design based on BP artificial neural network model for optimization of image characteristics, seniors product image for research and reference.Finally, design examples of elderly walkers, the product of empirical elderly innovative design principles and design procedures and methods, and use of imagery questionnaire and BP artificial neural network model to verify.
