Centrifugal pump is universal hydraulic machinery and its demand is most. After the development of more than half a century, our country has made great progress in design and manufacturing of centrifugal pump. Nowadays, domestic enterprises which product water pump are mostly small and medium ones. It's universal existence that the lack of funds and resources and it is relatively backward in the technical reserves, equipment level and new product development capability. Compared to many famous foreign pump enterprises, we still exist a larger and more obvious gap. Based on this situation, this paper has done the related research on the hydraulic design method of centrifugal pump, flow components modeling, geometrical modeling, different flow condition of flow field numerical simulation analysis, and aims to improve the comprehensive properties of products. In this paper, the main research contents are as follows:(1) This paper based on the hydraulic design of centrifugal pump and the solving method of blade surface data point, using VC++programming software, developed a centrifugal pump hydraulic design module and realized the fast calculation of centrifugal pump's design parameters and blade parameters. Using UG/open tools and database technology, completed the development of solid modeling module of the centrifugal pump impeller, realized a complete set function that from the3D modeling of impeller blade, front and back cover of impeller design to the entity automatic modeling.(2) This paper based on the hydraulic design method of centrifugal pump over-current components, using UG NX7.0modeling on centrifugal pump flow region, obtained the model of the centrifugal pump flow channel; through the mesh technology analysis, conducted detail grid division and boundary set on centrifugal pump flow channel model using FLUENT special processing software Gambit.(3) Using FLUENT solver conducted three kinds of condition numerical simulation on meshed channel geometry model, obtained the characteristic information of flow in a centrifugal pump, summarized the situation of flow in a centrifugal pump speed and pressure changes, distribution, and done a comparison of many work performance that on the three conditions of centrifugal pump. Finally, compared simulated results with experimental results. The finished research of this paper, can greatly shorten the centrifugal pump design time, reduce the quantity of prototype manufacturing on the development of new products, while improved the design of centrifugal pump and manufacturing accuracy, at the same time, enhanced the product reliability and the pump market competition ability of the enterprise and it have important practical significance.
