With the rapid development of modern industrial production and working environment,Tremendous changes have taken place in the environment of clearance seal, The enhancementof operational condition reguires the elevated precision of clearance seal. Due to thecharacteristics of clearance seal in use is still at a high rate.,so for the research of the clearanceseal is quite necessary.clearance seal belong to non-contact seal, using the fluid through the tiny seal clearanceproduced fluid resistance for achieving a good sealing effect Compared with other forms ofseal, clearance seal can greatly reduce the the sealant wear, improve the reliability of the seal,increase the seal life, It is widely applied in liquid rocket engine hydrogen turbine pumps,high and medium voltage centrifugal compressor, steam turbine and centrifuge, or othermechanical equipments.On the basis of researches of many domestic and international documents,This paperemphasized to computational fluid dynamics (CFD) Angle and the whole simplified fluidmechanics equations,On the basis of finite volume scheme,using FLUENT software forclearance seal of flow field simulation. Solve the problems such as grid generation bymicroscale and macro-scale combining. Apply RNG k-turbulent model and SIMPLECalgorithm to the calculation of the flow field of the internal pressure distribution, fluidvelocity distribution and leakage characteristic parameters. The results are also compared thecollar type clearance seal, tapered clearance seal and rectangular clearance seal. Determinethe sealing performance of various forms of seal clearance.
