In the early21st century, natural building movement using the non-industrial construction techniques rised in the residential design industry. The non-industrial construction techniques which use the soil, wood, stone, crops fibers and other localization of materials, including bamboo as the building material construction technology. Natural buildings need to comply with the requirements of sustainable development factors, in order to create a more healthy living environment for human. The natural materials are the basis of the natural environment, as far as possible in harmony with the natural environment. More worthy of attention is due to the large amount of supplies, high energy consumption. The construction industry has become one of the most important industry to develop low-carbon economy. To development low-carbon buildings and green buildings becomes the main trend of the international construction industry.A two-story mountain building located in Nannuo mountains of Jinghong, Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture. The bottom of the building is concrete, the top floor and roof trusses use bamboo and wood.Experimental studies of the mechanical properties of bamboo cane component to be applied in this building conduct in the lab. Seismic intensity of Xishuangbanna in Yunnan is above seven degrees and the local rural economic development is relatively backward situation. Provide for local residents a bamboo-wood structure which maintains the local Dai architectural style with the application of new type wall. In the course of constructing the building, the bamboo cane components used for the structure component need the support of the experiment.The study focuses on the bamboo cane component produced by the bamboo from Yunnan. The experiments include diaphragm compression test, lateral compression test of bamboo component with the filler material, bending test and compression stability test. Study the relationship of the test results and component size. Based on the test results and component failure mode, recommend the parts needed to strengthen and corresponding measures in the practical application. The bamboo cane component diaphragm compression test for new node connection type in the bamboo structure is the first time of studying its force situation.New type wall is using cable-stayed bamboo bar as a cladding on both sides of the wooden frame. At the corner part of the wall fill a suitable bulk of plate. Using ANSYS software with parametric modeling to numerical simulation analysis the new application in the project on both sides with the cable-stayed bamboo bar of the wood frame wall. Provides the basis for design and recommends the reasonable measures of this new type wall constructed in the practical application.
