For the problem in the purple soil and barren mountain sloping area of the loss of soil and water, seasonally dry, soil depletion, the poor environment for the Eulaliopsis binata root growth and the difficulty in vegetation restoration in Hengyang of Hunan. This thesis attempts to analyze from the angle of theeulaliopsis binata root, based on field investigation and pot experiments, explored the impact on the root morphology of Eulaliopsis binata in different site conditions in the wild field, and discovered to improve the capacity and energy of Eulaliopsis binata root under indoor can controlled conditions in physical(different water conditions), nutrition (different forms of nitrogen fertilizer control) and other measures, at the same time This thesis provided the basis for reconstruction theory to achieve Eulaliopsis binata growing faster and more abundant under adverse conditions in the purple soil, in order to further enhance the effectiveness of ecological restoration Eulaliopsis binata and to build fast recovery of vegetation in the purple soil. The main conclusions of this study are as follows:1 The root index morphology of Eulaliopsis binata changes.and Eulaliopsis binata root surface area, root volume, root diameter, root number and total root length were increased in different periods, and the growth trends were "S" curve, because of the impact of low temperature in December and January.2 The influence of water and nitrogen forms in different ratios on root development of Eulaliopsis binata, the ammonium nitrate can obviously increase the root index morphology of Eulaliopsis binata, and promote root growth; three water level, the root index morphology of Eulaliopsis binata in the condition of 30-40% of the field capacity was higher than those other two levels. In the condition of NO3--N:NH4+-N=3:1 and 30-40% of the field capacity, the root index morphology of Eulaliopsis binata was highest and contrast analysis was most obvious. Studies show that the conditions of moderate drought are suitable for the growth of the root of Eulaliopsis binata.and fertilizing nitrate nitrogen can promote root growth, enhance adaptive capacity. 3 The characteristics of the root distribution of Eulaliopsis binata in different site conditions. The root of Eulaliopsis binata mainly to distribute horizontally in the purple soil, distribution in horizontal up to 40cm, shallow buried depth, most of the roots not more than 30cm, and showing the shape of "root mat". The vertical buried depth of Eulaliopsis binata only 10cm in uphill, but maximum up to 40cm in downhill. The uphill root biomass is 43.27g/plant is significantly lower than 55.071g /plant in downhill.
