Nutrient Abundance and Deficiency Index is the best method to choose the fertilizer type and quantity in terms of non-nitrogen mineral nutrient. Although the method is very popular all over the world, the research of Nutrient Abundance Index for grass growing soil was very few. There is no research on Alfalfa soil Nutrient Abundance and deficiency Index in China. It is reported that the plantation of alfalfa in Huanghua city of Hebei Province is almost 0.67 million ha. However, the determination of fertilizer type and quantity just falls short of the scientific basis. So, we used two important mineral nutrients of alfalfa to study the Nutrient Abundance and Deficiency Index of Alfalfa soil and provide the scientific basis of fertilization in Huanghua city of Hebei Province. We conducted a preliminary study on the available potassium and phosphorus content abundance and deficiency index with multy, wide, field experiment to comparare the fertifization strategy in HuangHua.The result is as follows:The Fertility indicators of available potassium was based on the field experiments and the study was conducted on the alfalfa which was two years old. The content of soil available nutrients were determined by conventional and M3 methods. Based on the method indicate the patassinm range in Huanghua city, the abundance deficiency index is lowest(<4.9),low(4.9-15,5),medium(15.5-38.5),high(38.5-49.4),highest(>49.4mg/kg)We used potting soil with higher levels of selected orchard soil available P soil and fallow land soils, and the conventional method. The abundance and deficiency index is lowest (<47.9),low (47.9-110.4),medium (110.4-147.5),high (147.5-160) and highest (>160mg/kg).
