MRF gene family plays a key role in the developing muscle system. They regulate the time and space of the muscle cell development in the muscle's beginning, proliferation, differentiation and integration. In this study, Nanjiang yellow goat was used as experimental material. The semitendinosus, semimembranosus, musculus longissimus dorsi, quadriceps femoris and gluteus medius were collected in Od,15d,30d,60d,90d and 120d, respectively. The mRNA expression level of MRF genes were detected in samples, after get the four gene sequences. The results showed that:(1) A part of MyoD's CDS and the CDS of Myf5, Myf6 and MyoG were cloned. The sequences'lengths are 551bp and 960bp,837bp and 856bp, respectively. The GenBank accession numbers were JF829004 (Myf5), HM204707 (Myf6), JF829005 (MyoD), JF829006 (MyoG), respectively. The homo logy of MyoD, Myf5, Myf6 and MyoG nucleotide sequences among goat's proximal species is greater than 90%. MRF gene family is a highly conserved.(2) All of MRF genes have obvious hydrophilic region, and exist signal peptide in the N terminal by bioinformatics analysis.(3) The relative expression level of MRF gene family members was obtained in five tissues during six periods by Q-PCR. The relative expression level of MRF gene family is no significant difference (P<0.05) between male and female. It means gender on the expression of MRF gene had little effect.;(4) The Myf5,Myf6 and MyoD genes in the same period are great differences among organizations. The relative expression level of MyoG gene was significantly (P<0.01) higher in semimembranosus than that of other organizations, and there was no significant difference among the other organizations.(5) The expression level of Myf5 peaked at 15d and 120d; the expression level of Myf6 peaked at 90d; the expression level of MyoD peaked at Od, and then declined to a steady state. The expression of MyoG is relatively stable throughout the period. These expression pattern were obtained by Q-PCR.
