This paper studies on the effects of long-time wind action on wood properties of Taxodium 'zhongshansha 302'. The main research results are sumerized as following:(1) There are no significant effects of long-time wind action on fiber morphology except the average ratio of double wall thickness to lumen which are significantly decreased by long-time wind action. The radial variation patterns of fiber morphology of two different Taxodium'zhongshansha 302'are similar.(2) The microfibrillar angle is significantly increased by long-time wind action, while the crystallinity is significantly decreased. The radial variation patterns of microfibrillar angle and crystallinity of two different Taxodium'zhongshansha 302'are similar.(3) The annual ring width is significantly increased by long-time wind action, and the boundary line of juvenile wood and mature wood is extended.(4) The cellulose content and holocellulose content are significantly decreased by long-time wind action, while the lignin content is significantly increased. The long-time wind action has no significant effect on pH value.(5) The basic density, MOR and MOE are significantly decreased by long-time wind action, while the tangential, longitudinal and volumetric shrinkage, longitudinal compression strength and toughness are significantly increased. The effects of long-time wind action on air-dried density, oven-dried density, radial shrinkage and the shrinkage ratio of tangential to radial are not significant.
