Some questions relating with the artificial propagation and application in forest of T.nigricoxae Yang were studied in this paper. Main contents included the mode of reproductionand reproductive behavior, host pupa selection, nutrient content of host pupa, effections of pupashell thickness and chitin content on the host pupa selection and the sensing mechanism of hostselection behavior. The main conclusions are as follows:1.T.nigricoxae Yang employed parthenogenesis and sexual reproduction, mainly by sexualreproduction. The parthenogenesis produced only male progeny. There existed inbreedingphenomenon.2.Parasitization rate and number of offspring rate of pre-pupae and1day old M.troglodyteGraeser pupae are highest.Artificial propagation by Antheraea pernyi, the quality and quantity ofprogenies were higher than by Bombyx mori pupae and by M. troglodyte pupae.3.Nutrient content gradually increased with the day-age of pupa.Protein content, fat contentof pupae were significantly positively correlated with the parasitization rate and the number ofoffspring per pupa. The total sugar content of pupae were not significantly correlated with theparasitization rate and the number of offspring per pupa. The pupa shell thickness and its chitincontent gradually descended with the increase of pupa day-age. The shell thickness and chitincontent were generally negatively related with the parasitization rate and the number of offspringrate per pupa. The nutrient contents of three species of host pupae, from high to low, were rankedas Antheraea pernyi> Bombyx mori pupae> M.troglodyte Graeser pupae.4.The importance of different antennal parts in the copulation of male Tetrastichusnigricoxae Yang, from high to low, were ranked as antennal scape>antennal club>antennalflagellum. In the female,it was ranked as antennal flagellum>antelnnal club>antennal scape.5.Eight types of sensory receptors were found, sach as multiporous plate sensilla, uniporoustrichoid sendilla, trichodea sensilla, basiconic capitate sensilla, basiconica sensilla, sensory pore,b hm's bristles, coeloconica sensilla. The uniporous trichoid sendilla was the commonest andwidely distributed. There were obviously sex dimorphisms in difference of number anddistribution of sensilla.6.The ovipositor of T.nigricoxae Yang consisted of ventral valvulae, inner valvulae, dorsalvalvulae.Five distinct types of sensory receptors were found on the ovipositor, including slightsurface depression, basiconic sensillum, trichoid sensillum, styloconic sensillum, coeloconicsensillum.
