Cassava shows strong adaptability with big biomass. In yunnan, there are some problems (single variety structure, small extent of good variety and low speed, deteriorating, lacking coordinative cultural techniques) exists in cassava peoduction, which lead to low productivity and low yield. Generally speaking, cassava average output(9-15t/hm2)in Yunnan is far bellow the average level(30-75t/hm2) in china.Different from Guangxi, Guangdong and Hainan Province, Yunnan has no typhoon. At the same time, planting areas always located at drought river valley with infertile soil. Therefore, the cassava varieties of drought-tolerant and poor-tolerant is required in Yunnan. Consider of the Yunnan cassava situation of lacking varieties, it is necessary to carry out adaptability experiment for introduced varieties through scientific methods. Based on the adaptability experiment, excellent cassava varieties with the characters (high yield, stable yield, high starch rate, good comprehensive character) can be found. And it is also necessary to Yunnan cassava industry that carring out the study of coordinative cultural techniques.Adaptability experiment and coordinative culture techniques of four introduced cassava varieties(SC5, SC8, SC205 and Xinxuan 048) in Yunnan was present in this paper. The varieties adaptability experiment was arranged in Yuanyang, Wanding and Longyang. Agronomic traits, biomass, cold resistance was record in the whole growth period, which is aim to select good varieties with high yield, stable yield, high starch rate, good comprehensive character and improve the Yunnan cassava situation of low yield and single structure. It is also provide scientific evidence for large area production.Through the one year experiment carried out at the three experiment sites, some varieties such as SC5, SC8, SC205 and Xinxuan 048 showed good performance. Xinxuan 048 is heaviest in average root fresh weight per plant than other varieties. And SC5 has smaller difference in verage root fresh weight per plant. Rainfall and management level is relative to underground yield. The four varieties showed good coldresistance and drought tolerance. And the four varieties had small difference in starch content.The SC205 was taken as experiment material to test the effects of plastic membrane mulching and Zhengguang compound fertilizer on cassava yield. The effect of different interplanting mode on total economic benefits was also involved in coordinative cultural techniques research. The result showed that plastic membrane mulching can remarkablely increase cassava yield and Zhengguang compound fertilizer also can can raise the yield to a large extent. The results showed that maize interplanting mode is better than soybean interplanting mode in economic benefits.
