The test used single factor completely design.35 daily age 60 healthy weanling piglets (Duroc X Landrace X Big White) homologous, similar weight, no individual difference were selected, randomly distributed into 5 groups with 3 repetitions,4 of each. The 4 experiment groups were added sodium selenite and selenium yeast in the diets, the additive amount of every source achieved 0.3,0.5mg/kg two levels. The control group were fed basal diet which added Omg/kg selenium. Than the experiment studied the effect of different selenium source and different levels on growth performance,blood biochemical parameters and serum antioxidant indexes of weanling piglets. The experiment lasted for 40 days. The result showed that:1. Growth performance The effect of selenium source on piglets growth performance, their difference was different.0.3mg/kg selenium yeast group and 0.3mg/kg sodium selenite group was better than control group, the difference was significant (P<0.05).Selenium yeast was better than sodium selenite in biological function, but the difference was insignificant (P>0.05).So it can be said that when added selenium, the piglets growth performance had increased to some extent.2. Blood physiological indicators Compared with the control group, ALB,TP,GLO of experimental groups had increased, and when 0.3mg/kg selenium was added, the effect stable relatively. When added to 0.5mg/kg, the difference was insignificant compared to the control group. ALB of 0.5mg/kg sodium selenite group was decreased significantly compare with 0.3mg/kg sodium selenite group (P<0.05).The level of BUN and GLU in experimental groups had decreased or increased significantly when added 0.3mg/kg selenium,0.5mg/kg selenium has no conspicuous change compare with the control group. The level of TG and TC had no significant difference among the groups.3. Blood enzymatic active The effect of different selenium source on piglets blood enzymatic active, their difference was insignificant. But when added selenium, compare with the control group, the content of GOT increased in different extent, while GPT existing unstable changes.It showed that the level of GOT and GPT were lower in 0.3mg/kg selenium group than 0.5mg/kg selenium group, from the whole situation.4. Immunization indicators Added two selenium sources,5 immunization indicators had remarkable difference among the groups (P<0.05).The immunization indicators in the control group weas lowest, but in the experimental groups were higher. When 0.3mg/kg selenium level was added, selenium yeast group was higher than sodium selenite group, in general, in the same time it higher than 0.5 mg/kg selenium level.5. Antioxidant index When added selenium, the GSH-Px of experimental groups had increased tendency to some extent compared to the control group except 0.5mg/kg sodium selenite group. And the effect of selenium yeast was better than sodium selenite. SOD in experimental groups increased significantly compare with the control group, so in antioxidant index, selenium yeast was better than sodium selenite in the function. The content of MDA in the control group was the highest, while in the other experimental groups the content were decreased significantly (P<0.05).The level of T-AOC was increased with the increasing of GSH-Px and SOD, that in the experimental groups were increased significantly than the control group (P<0.05)In conclusion, selenium had significant effect on growth of weanling piglets to some extent in this experiment groups,it can improve immune function,enhance antioxidant capacity. And it won't cause body damage.Comprehensive consideration,0.3mg/kg adding amount of selenium has better application potential.
