Biangan (C. reticulata Blanco cv. Biangan) is the Citrus plants of Aurantioideae, Rutaceae. It is a local variety with high yield, beautiful fruit shape, bright color and good storability in Guangxi province of China. However, the utilization of Biangan resources was not effective. Based on present studies, it is hard to classify and name them. In order to make better use, protection,deeply understand the distribution, status and genetic relationships germplasm resources of Biangan, the resources were investigated and collected in this studies, and morphological description and karyotype were analyzed. The genetic diversity of 26 resources was analyzed by ISSR and SCoT molecular markers. The main results showed that:1.26 Biangan and the other citrus resources were collected in Nachen town, PuBei county, Daxin county, Longzhou county, Pingxiang city, Jinchengjiang area, Shangsi county, Baise and Vietnam.2. Some plants of Biangan with fruit of high seedless rate, navel shape, high yield and good flavor were found in this investigation.3. The canopy of Biangan tree is oblateness with ovate-lanceolate leaves and hermaphrodite flowers. Its fruit, from 65.66 g to 183g in weight, was oblate in shape and orange red in color. The soluble solids content was from 11% to 14% with an edible rate of 70%. Its flesh is medium mastication with aroma. The fruit is consist of 11 capsules which is covered by white reticulata grid and 0-15 seeds of polyembreo and green cotyledons.4. By program optimization, the appropriate reaction systems of ISSR-PCR and SCoT-PCR were built.5.Genetic relationship analysis by ISSR and SCoT showed that:At the coefficient level of 0.73, the 26 germplasm resources were divided into 2 groups.The group 1 includes:layueganl-4. Nucellar seedling of layuegan, Longzhoubendigan, Pingxinagbendigan1-3, Tangor, vietnamganl-2, Pubeiwuhebiangan, Nachenbianganl-2, Nucellar seedling of Nachengbiangan, Baisewulabiangan, Baiseliujibiangan, Jingchengjiangbiangan, Shangsibianganl-3, Ponkan and Nanfengmiju; The group 2 includes:Miyagawa wase unshiu and Okitsu wase. According to the analysis result mentioned above, Biangan is classified as'tangerine'of Citrus reticulate Blanco.6. The observation of chromosomes and analysis of Karyotype of Biangan showed that Biangan was diploid. Its chromosomes number was 2n= 2x= 18, and the karyotype of it was 2B.
