1.Comparison of influences of two different techniques of raising process on thedevelopment of genetic sexing strain of Bactrocera dorsalis (Hendel), we could findin the variable temperature feeding, hatch rate, pupation rate of larvae, male pupaweight, sex ratio, drift rate of male adults, the emergence rate of adults, the flyingrate of adults, survivorship rate of male adults and development period of egg to adultwere significantly different to the constant temperature feeding, while female pupaeweight, drift rate of female adults, the survivorship rate of female adults and singlefemale fecundity without significant difference. Above of all, the variable temperatureraising process is better than the constant temperature raising process. We couldshorten the breeding cycle, and provide lots of fruit fly pupae for the sterile insecttechnique within a short period of time.2.In order to achieve the purpose of purification inherent strains,we studied thatdifferent sex ratio of female and male whether could reduce the drift rate of adult. Theresults showed that: when3adults (2male adults and1female adult) were raising inthe feeding cage, in other words, the sex ratio was2:1, the drift rate of offspring wassignificantly lower, especially the drift rate of female adult. But whether or notsuitable for mass rearing we should make some further research.3.The research on the population dynamics of B. Dorsalis (Hendel) in Longtaimountain in fuzhou since2010to2011showed that the population of it had just onetopical single peak yearly in Longtai mountain, which is from September toNovember, and two months later than Fujian province. Some advices such as logicaldistribution of orchard to lower its population number was offered to peasant.Through the research we found that the population of its in out of orchard was theorigin population in next year. Compare the population dynamics of its in treated andcontrast plot, the results showed that the mode of large area pest management on B.Dorsalis (Hendel) based on Mediterranean fruit fly pest management could reduce thepopulation quantity significantly, which could make the harm lower under the economic threshold.4.The preliminary studies were conducted to test the trap-effects of differentattractants and two kinds of field application methods of protein bait. The studyresults of Suspension Trap Method of protein bait solution indicated that thetrap-effects would decrease with the dilution multiples were amplified. And if it isapplied in the field, the optimum trap-effect would be presented as the protein baitliquid was diluted twice. Due to the study results of Spot Spray Trap Method, that themost B. Dorsalis (Hendel) adults were killed at the time2hours after spray. Then thetrap-effects were declined gradually. And that the high trapping and killing effects inB. Dorsalis (Hendel) adults were influenced by the spray time of the hybrid liquid ofprotein bait in keeping with the daily activity rhythm of adults. The study resultsindicated that this protein bait could be used as a valid twice-sexual attractant for boththe male and female adults of several fruit fly species.
