[Objective] To describe the military training and non-training injuries incidence and distribution characteristics during new recruit training, study the risk factors of injury during new recruits training, and supply scientific precautionary measures to reduce the occurrence of injury during basic training program, measuring the size of the influence of each factor by incidence rate ratio(IRR).[Methods] Random sample the six land force regions'recruits from one of military as a survey in 2011. Collect the occurrence of injury information within 3 months of training by Longitudinal study and survey the other relevant exposure information of recruits with cross-sectional investigation.Describe and deduce this military region's new recruits'injury incidence and distribution feature of the assemble for training. Use two levels of Poisson regression analysis to deduce the factors of injury during recruit training.[Results] In 2010 military investigation, there are 1389 fresh recruits including 1298 male,73 female and 18 persons no gender information. The results showed:in 2010 assemble for training; these recruits'injury incidence is 9.4% including 80.0% training injury and 20.0% non-training injury; the training injury incidence is 7.5%, and non-training injury incidence is 1.9%. The injury incidence of six training place are different, and the difference has statistical significance (P<0.05).There are injuries from the first week of starting training to the 13th weeks, peaking at the fifth and sixth weeks, the first summit; at the ninth weeks, the second summit. Time distribution of non-training injuries is indentical to the training injuries. The injury quality distribution:sprain, strain and rub injury has 85 people which is 65.4% of the total; the scratch injury and such as these superficial injury has 14 people which is 10.8% of the total; the overwork injury has 12 people which is 9.2% of the total; cuts injury, bites injury and such as these openness injury has 5 people which is 3.8% of the total; there are 5 people which is fracture accounting for 3.8% and 6 people which is other model injury accounting for 4.6%. The most injury body part is lower limb which has 80 people and is 61.5% of the total; the secondly injury body part is upper limb which has 31 people and is 23.8% of the total. Training programs that training injuries occurred:most are physical training, has injury 55 people which is 52.9% of the total. The cause of training injuries has wide range:104 people in training injury, accidental injury up to a total of 60 cases, accounting for 47.6%; followed by the large training load, a total of 22 cases, accounting for 17.5%. Univariate analysis showed that there are significant differences between injury group and the uninjured group in the home location, training content, content mastery, warm-up activities, training suits, training shoes variable. The relationship between injury and other variable was calculated by Poisson regression:showing that home location (IRR=1.51,95%CI:1.02,2.22), overload training(IRR=2.32,95%CI: 1.46,3.70),IRR greater than 1,are risk factors.[Conclusion] Investigations reveal that the incidence of injury is largely made up of the military injury, the non-military injury accounting for 20% in 2011 during training, Injury accounted for first parts is the lower extremity, and the most training injuries occur training program is physical training. The recruits of the city and the self-assessment training exceeding the scopes of the training are experience high risk for injury. During recruit training, the non-military injuries should be taken seriously, in addition to training injuries should be concerned; The strength training of recruits should be based on individual circumstances in order to avoid unnecessary training injury, further research should be undertaken to explore why injury caused by physical training is high.
