Objective:To explore the impact of family clinicopathologic characteristics and prognosis in patienrs with breast cancer and to understand it characteristics of Chinese people. Methods:Clinical data of 1164 patients with his topathologically confirmed resectable and can be surgically removed breast cancer, treated at Xinjiang tumor hospital from Jan.2000 to Jan 2006, were analyzed. It was divided into family breast cancer and sporadic breast cancer groups according to first or second degree relative with breast cancer.Clinical characteristics and prognosis were compared between two groups. Results: The comparison of metestatic rate of axillary lymph nodes of familial with sporadic breast cancer patients showed there were statistic differences. The comparison of pathology type of familial with sporadic breast cancer showed there were statistic differences. Invasive nonspeific carcinoma played a main part in the familial and sporadic breast cancer(84.1%,81.3%). No significant differences were found in ER,PR and C-erbB-2.Overall 5-year disease-free survival ratein family breast cancer(84.1%), metestatic rate of axillary lymph node(69.5%),stage year(72.5%,77.5%,65.3%)had no significant difference in breast cancer. According to the cox regression, there were statistic difference in radiotherapy(69.5%) and clinical stage(72.5%,77.5%,65.3%) about 5-year disease-free survival. Conclusion:Clinical stage and radiotherapy are independent prognostic factor. It is very important for falilical, metestatic lymph, and year in prognostic, but they are not independent prognostic factor. No significant differences were found in menopause state, tumor size, pathology type for prognostic factor. Further research is needed for family breast cancer with gene.
