The Effects Of Propafenone Hydrochloride Injection On Permanent Heart Pacing Threshold And Endocardial Electrical Signal Amplitude

Objective:To observe the effects of propafenone hydrochloride injection on permanent heart pacing threshold and endocardial electrical signal amplitude. Methods:71 patients who had been implanted pacemakers one to three days were observed. Propafenone hydrochloride injection 70mg was administered intravenously,70mg was given first,repeated again after 10 minutes.First, to measure atrial pacing threshold,ventricular pacing threshold,P wave amplitude and R wave amplitude before injecting, then measured again in 30,60,120,240 minutes after injecting. Results:The pacing threshold and the P, R wave amplitude of cardiograph before injecting and 30,60,120,240 minutes after injecting were measured separately using a pacemaker system analyzer at a constant pulse width 0.48ms. The atrial pacing threshold is respectively 0.36±0.13v,0.35±0.12v,0.37±0.14v,0.35±0.14v,0.36±0.13v,.The ventrical pacing threshold is 0.34±0.13v,0.35±0.13v,0.34±0.13v,0.36±0.14v,0.35±0.15v.The atrial P wave amplitude is 3.63±1.27mv,3.62±1.27mv,3.63±1.27mv,3.62±1.26mv,3.63±1.27mv.The ventrical R wave amplitude is 8.63±2.61mv,8.76±2.54mv,8.76±2.54mv,8.75±2.53mv,8.77±2.54mv. Using or not using propafenone hydrochloride injection, not only atrial pacing threshold but also ventrical pacing threshold is stable (p> 0.05). The change of P wave amplitude and the R wave amplitude is as well as the change of the atrial and ventrical threshold. On the other hand, the R wave amplitude is greater than the P wave amplitude. Conclusion:propafenone hydrochloride injection doesnt affect the atrial pacing threshold, ventricular pacing threshold, P wave amplitude and R wave amplitude of the implanted patients(p>0.05).
