Ojective:The study was carried out to prove Protctive effects of Probucol for normal and cerebral Ischemia-reperfusion injuries(CIRI) rats on anti-oxidation and to find out the effective mechanism by testing changes of the content of 12/15 lipoxygenase,protein carbonyl,nitroprotein and LPO in the brain tissues of normal rats or with CIRI.Method:male SD rats, The weight between 280g-310g. All focal CIRI (60min, 24hr) models in rats were made by line bolt method. Pro bucol is dissolved by the 0.5% CMC suspension. Intragastric administration of medications by gastric tube every day. Experiment consisted of two parts. The fir st part: Probucol effect on normal old rats. Normal old rats were given probucol (500mg/kg,1 week,2 weeks, 3 weeks) intervention.
