Clinical Observation On The Use Of Shenyuyin On 30 Cases Of Children's Cough Variant Asthma (CVA) During Chronic Persistent Period

Cough Variant Asthma, also known as Occult Asthma, is one of the special types of Asthma, also considered as a premonitory symptom of typical asthma, a common disease in Pediatrics. Clinical features of CVA have shown as continuous, recurrent and obstinate coughing without difficult breathing. As to the understanding and treatment of CVA in traditional Chinese medicine, has not come up with a unified theory just yet; most specialists think that CVA is to do with the insufficiency of the lung, the spleen and the kidney, also with the phlegm buried inside.External factors are associated to climate change, temperature imbalance etc, that caused the phlegm to block the airway. Recent studies showed that with combining traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine to treat CVA has greater advantage than through Western medicine alone which also improve the symptom and the patients'quality of life.This research is to show the observation on the treatment of CVA in children though the combination use of modified shenyuyin and western medicine.Objective:To investigate the use of modified Shenyuyin in the treatment of cough variant asthma, CVA, in children during chronic persistent periodData and Method:base on the clinical data on the use of modified Shenyuyin in the treatment of children with cough variant asthma, to observe the clinical effect on 30 cases of cough variant asthma patients for 2 months, from Xiyuan Hospital of China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences pediatric outpatient clinics, from 2009.9 to 2010.7,Result:the use of modified Shenyuyin powder is significantly improving the CVA of Children. The differences on the effect between before and after were significant,(P<0.01).
