| Objectbjective To evaluate the visual outcomes and patient satisfaction with combinedimplantation of refractive and diffractive multifocal intraocular lenses (MIOL) inboth eyes(CustomMarch pattern).Methods We retrospectively reviewed 61 patients(122 eyes)who underwentphacoemulsification for age-related cataract and IOL implantation in the People'sCentral Hospital of Huizhou City. 16 cataract patients (32 eyes) were implanted withthe diffractive Tecnis ZM900 multifocal IOL(ZM900 group),20 cataract patients (40eyes) were implanted with refractive ReZoom NXGl multifocal IOL (ReZoom group),25 cataract patients (50 eyes) were assigned to receive either a ReZoom NXG1 IOLin the dominant eye and a Tecnis ZM900 IOL in the fellow eye (match group).Over twelvemonths postoperative -ly,patients were assessed for uncorrected visual acuity(30cm,40cm, 63cm,100cm,500cm) under 400lux and 20lux.and near stereoacuity.Patients were surveyed for glass dependency level, visual disturbances and patientsatisfaction.Results Under 400lux and 20lux, binocular mean uncorrected visual acuity in matchgroup was logMAR 0.0166±0.0757 at 400lux and logMAR 0.2533±0.0830 at 20lux, inZM900 group was logMAR 0.0907±0.1012 at 400lux and logMAR 0.2866±0.0782 at 20lux,in ReZoom group was logMAR 0.0627±0.0815 at 400lux and logMAR 0.2737±0.0743 at20lux.Under 400lux,the uncorrected visual acuities in match group at 30cm distancewere higher than those in ReZoom group(P=0.007),and at 63cm distance with highand low contrast vision were both significantly higher than those in ZM900group(p=0.00,p=0.01). Under 20lux,the uncorrected visual acuities in match groupat 100cm distance with high and low contrast vision were both significantly higherthan those in ZM900 group((p=0.000,p=0.000). In the match group, 84.0% had 60s orless of near stereoacuity with uncorrected near visual acuity. About glass dependencylevel,the match group was significantly better than the ReZoom group when watchingnear distance(p=0.008)and was significantly better than the ZM900 group when watching intermediate distance(p=0.000). The match group were much more satisfactorythan ZM900 group and ReZoom group (p=0.009,p=0.008)。ConclusioConclusion The study shows that excellent near,intermediate,and distant vision wereobserved in patients implanted with diffractive and refractive multifocal IOL. Itcould perfect the whole range vision, stereoscopic vision, reduce the aperceptionof glare and halo phenomena,and enhance the patient satisfaction. |
