With the development of economy and rising of the standard of life, more and more patients seeking for orthodontic treatment. For the reasons of occupational, social and so on, the aesthetics during the treatment have become increasingly demanding. The lingual appliance was developed simultaneously in two countries during the 1970s. Lingual orthodontics has obvious advantages in appearance and biomechanical control. However, compared with labial appliances, lingual orthodontics technology is still much controversy, such as appliance placement led to dysphonia, complicated laboratory procedures, and expensive treatment. This paper selected a mild crowding and space closure non-extraction case, improved the treatment process and the lingual appliance, for the purpose of streamline the process of lingual orthodontics mechanics operation and Improve the dysphonia during lingual orthodontics. Then uses three-dimensional laser scanning and CT tomography methods to obtain patient's dentition scan data, compared the two scans by volume comparison method. Proved that CT scanning can replace laser scanning In the process of data acquisition in the field of orthodontics.Extracted the CT images of the dentition with medical image processing software Mimics, rearranged the patient's dentition with Magics, and then rapid prototyping the rearranged dentition.By using different methods to model reconstruction the dentition, intergrating the advantages of a variety of reverse software, this paper presents an integrated model reconstruction strategy, and then modeling the new lingual bracket based on the size of the existing brackets.Mechanical analysis of the simplified brackets model based on HyperWorks, simulated the bracket's relationships between load, deformation and stress. Provide a reference for clinical application. Finally, improve the structure of brackets on the basis of the finite element model, laid the foundation for the further study of bracket size optimization.
