They provide scientific evidence for development of health policies, evaluation of quality and effectiveness of health work. They are also an important part of the natural population change laws. Therefore, many other countries in the world attach great importance to their death statistics and its analysis work. The study use of the death of Gaomi city surveillance data 2006-2007 to analyze the major cause of death spectrum among causes of death and disease burden to provide reference in determining and adjusting the disease control strategy and focus. This may be of great significance to the identification of disease control, protection of people's health, promotion of social and economic sustainable development.Materials and MethodsThe standardized of population was from national census data in 2000.The death information came from 2006 to 2007 gaomi Disease Surveillance Point(DSP).Death causes were classificated according to the International Classifications of Diseases 10(ICD-10). Average potential years of life lost (APYLL) was 6.56 man-years. PYL rate was 47.69%o.Conclusions and recommendationsGaomi has already entered the aged society. Circulatory system diseases, cancer, respiratory diseases and other chronic diseases have become major factors that jeopardize people's lives and health. Injury and poisoning hazard potential life lost to great extent. Infectious and parasitic disease mortality and their death ranking have gradually declined. The research results combined, here the following recommendations are proposed:1) living and health of elderly population should be highly concerned about, further build and improve community health services and social welfare security system of the elderly. Health awareness and self-care ability of elderly should be improved through health promotion and health education, etc.2) Publicity departments should strengthen publicity and education on the dangers of bad habits, improve self-care awareness of residents.3) Health administrative departments should continuously increase circulatory diseases prevention and control efforts, at the same time, strengthen the prevention and treatment of cancer and accidental injury. Proactive and effective interventions such as health care, health education, fitness, spiritual and cultural construction should be adopted. Accident prevention work, mental health and behavioral interventions also should be taken to improve the health of local residents. |
