Objective: Along with medical, social progress and economic development in China, government and individuals have got a practical understanding of rehabilitation. In the past two years, the state officially juxtaposed rehabilitation, prevention and treatment, thus rehabilitation has been unprecedentedly recognized. Clinically, the rehabilitation is classified as neurological rehabilitation, orthopedic rehabilitation, pain rehabilitation, senile rehabilitation, child rehabilitation, industrial injury rehabilitation and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation. Cardiopulmonary rehabilitation is predicted as the focus of rehabilitation in this field. However, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation study and clinical application have just started, and need further research and verification. In the cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, the pulmonary rehabilitation mainly aims at rehabilitation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) patients. This study aimed at exploring the rehabilitation effect of medical walk rehabilitation training with non-invasive ventilation to COPD patients, for the sake of making a more optimal rehabilitation program, which can avoid the poor compliance of the long period non-invasive ventilation to moderate stable COPD, while having better rehabilitation effect than a simple medical rehabilitation walk training. Methods: We choose 32 stable COPD patients (at last 23 cases fully completed) from respiratory section of Xiang He County People's Hospital. They were randomly divided into 4 groups: daily life group as A group (n = 8); medical walk group as B group (n = 8); NIPPV group as C group (n = 8); medical walk with NIPPV as D group (n = 8). The 4 groups took an experiment for 8 weeks with routing medication. They had pulmonary function test, 6 minute walk distance test((6MWD) before and after rehabilitation treatment, measuring heart rate, blood oxygen, blood pressure and got the Borg score. Statistical data were processed using SPSS17.0 package. Results: The general information (age, disease duration) and various parameters (FVC, FEVI, FEVI / FVC) of the 4 groups before rehabilitation were not significantly different (P> 0.05).Before and after rehabilitation the 6-minute walk distance (6MWD) was statistically significant different (P <0.05). As for the rehabilitation effect, D group is better than B group, 6-minute walk distance of C group increased but without statistical significance, that of A group decreased. Therefore, lastly variety of 6-minute walking distance, namely exercise capacity is: D group> B group> C group> A group. Conclusions: The medical rehabilitation walk with non-invasive ventilation program is valid to COPD stable moderate patients, and better than simple medical rehabilitation walk. It can improve exercise capacity of patients better, thus improve the patents'life quality by a greater degree, and is worth clinic spreading.
