Object:Through assessment and data, we analyze the life quality, nutritional status and their relationship of the cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy to argue whether the improvement of nutritional condition can enhance the life quality of the cancer patients. This study will provide reference for research of improving life quality for the cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy in the future.Method:In this paper, random sampling method was adopted to assess the life quality and nutritional status of the 218 patients undergoing chemotherapy on 3rd or 4th day from two AAA class hospitals. Their life quality is measured by QLQ-C30 V3.0, and the nutritional status was evaluate by SGA which is the professional tool in nutrients assessment. There are thirty items in QLQ-C30 V3.0 which have fifteen fields including five function fields, nine symptom fields and one whole health symptom field. SGA have nine index. Results:The average point of patient cases in this study is 56.23±14.39, but the standard point is 14.29-92.86, which reflect the overall life quality of the cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy is not good. The results suggested that the score rates of 218 cases in functional field from high to low were emotional function, cognitive function, body function, social function, role function; the score rates in symptoms field from high level to low level were exhaustibility, appetite loss, insomnia, anhelation, constipation, nausea and vomiting, pain, diarrhea. Additionally, financial difficulties are also one of the common problems. The patients who live with their children get a high score (P<0.05). Because the patients who has longer adjuvant therapy and cycle of chemotherapy get a high Score (p<0.05);The more older patients got the higher score (p<0.05); The longer chemotherapy cycle the lower role function score that the patient get (p< 0.05);The patients who get longer chemotherapy are easily to be tired (p<0.05); the patients who has higher income accepted longer chemotherapy cycle are more easily to lose appetite; the chemotherapy cycle has obvious positive effect on patient's nausea(p<0.000), the patients who has higher family income and longer chemotherapy cycle get the higher score in nausea and vomiting aspect. Besides, the chemotherapy cycle also has effect on pain of patients (p< 0.048), which means the longer chemotherapy would make the patient painful (p<0.05); there is a linear relation among financial difficulties, family income, the chemotherapy cycle and patient's sexuality and age (p<0.000), which means the older male patient who has higher family income, the longer chemotherapy cycle get higher score of financial difficulties (p<0.05)。Patients who come from different nation have no distinction of function field and life quality field in statistics Among the patients undergoing chemotherapy,51.4% of patients has moderate or heavy malnutrition. The well-nourished patients exist the difference in body function, role function, emotional function, cognitive function as well as nausea and vomiting, insomnia, constipation, appetite loss and diarrhea (p <0.05).Conclusion:The life quality and nutrition condition of the cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy cause great concern today. The well-nourished patients are better than the ones in poor-nourished in life quality such as body function, role function emotional function, cognitive function, exhaustibility, nausea and vomiting, insomnia, appetite loss, constipation, diarrhea. Therefore, the improvement to nutrition condition for the cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy shall greatly help to enhance their life quality in substantial extent. In nursing care, we should strengthen the education in their health, give effective guide in their diet, make an effort to keep their good appetite, and prevent their decline of physical activities, and upgrade their tolerance in therapy, which shall ensure them a successful treatment.
