The Influention Of The Internal Carotid Artery Stenosis Length Factor To The CEA And CAS Curative Effect

Objective:contrastively research the internal carotid artery stenosis length factor influences the CEA and CAS curative effect.Methods:1.collects patient examples in Beihua University affiliated hospital and Beijing Xuanwu Hospital and Tongji hospital of Huazhong University of Science and Technology including 62 cases of CEA patients and 68 cases CAS patients from January to November in 2010.2.divide all patients into group A (1.0-2.0cm), group B (2.1-3.0cm), group C (>3.0cm) according to the internal carotid artery stenosis length, count the postoperative complications of CEA and CAS cases(such as internal carotid artery occlusion, high perfusion of acute obviously haematoma, local syndrome, stroke and death within one month, severe restenosis in 6 months).3, carry on the statistical analysis according to the situation of postoperative complications of each group of CEA and the CAS.Results:1. Group A of 19 patients who underwent the CEA complications in 5 cases, with no complications 14 cases; 21 cases of CAS patients who underwent postoperative complications in 7 cases,14 cases without complications. The two short-term operation of CEA and CAS with complications there is no significant differences that is P>0.05. 2. Group B of 18 patients who underwent the CEA complications in 5 cases, with no complications 13 cases; 21 cases of CAS patients who underwent postoperative complications in 7 cases,14 cases without complications. The two short-term operation of CEA and CAS with complications there is no significant differences that is P>0.05.3. Group C of 25 patients who underwent the CEA complications in 8 cases, with no complications 17 cases; 26 cases of CAS patients who underwent postoperative complications in 18 cases,8 cases without complications. The two short-term operation of CEA and CAS with complications there is obvious significant differences that is P<0.01.Conclusion:when the internal carotid artery stenosis< 3cm, there is no obvious difference of the short-term curative of the postoperative effect with the treatment of CEA and CAS; when the internal carotid artery stenosis>3cm, the postoperative short-term curative effect of CEA is inferior to that of CAS.
