Objective: To screen the level of coagulation factorⅧ(FⅧ) inhibitor in hemophilia A(HA) patients registered in our hemophilia treatment center and analysis the factors associated with the factor (FⅧ) inhibitor development, and monitor the patients with high-level inhibitor insistently. Methods: 171 patients with HA were recruited in this study. All of them had received FⅧreplacement therapy. Levels of FⅧinhibitor were detected by modified Nijmegen. Risk factors associated with the inhibitor development were analysised in these patients. Results: In 171 patients with severe and moderate treated with FⅧ, 9.9% had developed FⅧinhibitor. There were 4 patients (2.3%) who had high-level FⅧinhibitor; the remaining 13 patients (7.6%) had low-titer inhibitor(<5BU).During two-year monitoring, 4 patients with high-level inhibitor keep high persistently and not to go down. Conclusion:The development of FⅧinhibitor detected by modified Nijmegen assay in Chinese hemophilia A patients was much, especially that with low-titer. Most of them were severe patients. The inhibitor development was associated with the following factors: the severe conditions of patients, the family clan, the high dose FⅧused in severe bleeding or major operation. The high-level inhibitor was not to lower during some times, and FⅧreplacement therapy was not fine.
