Objective:To discuss Proliferative diabetic retinopathy (proliferative diabetic retinopathy, PDR) underwent silicone oil removal and IOL (Intraocular lens, IOL) implants and silicone oil removal and intraocular lens implantation secondary effect.Study: 45 cases of 52 aphakic eyes who underwent silicone oil removal and intraocular lens implantation in patientsMethods: Retrospective analysis of March 2009 to March 2011 by the same surgeon in the hospital for treatment of diabetic retinopathy vitrectomy cataract phacoemulsification surgery silicone oil injection 45 patients (52 eyes), 17 males and 28 females, aged 35-74 years, mean age 58 years, the patient underwent vitrectomy had the classic three-channel silicone oil injection phacoemulsification surgery, including silicone oil removal with intraocular lens implantation in 26 patients (30 eyes , of which 4 cases both eyes 8 eyes, 10 eyes in 10 cases the right eye, left eye, 12 eyes of 12 cases), 2 silicone oil removal and intraocular lens implantation in 19 patients (22 eyes, of which 6 eyes in 3 cases eye, right eye eight cases of 8 eyes, 8 eyes left eight cases), diabetic retinopathy, the shortest duration of 4 years, the longest 24 years, an average of 9.2 years.Results: Silicone oil removal and intraocular lens implantation in patients with visual acuity improved in 22 eyes, 76.6%, 2 silicone oil removal with intraocular lens implantation eye visual acuity improved in 15 eyes, 73.2%, improved postoperative visual acuity Eye no significant difference between the number of (X2 = 0.08, P=0.995) .52 eyes no serious complications, iatrogenic retinal tear to the eye surgery laser photocoagulation, surgery active bleeding through the eyes photocoagulation or increased perfusion bottle surgery to stop bleedingConclusion: Proliferative retinopathy in patients with vitreous surgery, silicone oil removal and intraocular lens implantation and silicone oil removal and intraocular lens implantation 2 can be made to improve visual acuity in most patients, the two no significant difference in visual acuity improvement.
