| Objective: Through comparing the dates which on behalf of the deformity of tooth maxillofacial on the X-ray of Side position of the head, to assess the feather and the mechanism on the development of tooth maxillofacial of the children who have enlarged adenoid.Methods: There are two groups of children, all children aged from 12 to 14 years old and all have the X-ray of Side position of the head. In the adenoid hypertrophy group, there are 60 children who had the symptom of oral breathing for more than two years and a/n≥0.71.In the control group, 60 children who have the same ages and the same sex with the adenoid hypertrophy group, what difference with the experimental group is they had no symptom of oral breathing and a/n≤0.60.After all subjects' dates on behalf of deformity of tooth maxillofacial were measured by the computer analyzed, we can get the feather and the mechanism of tooth maxillofacial deformity of the children who have enlarged adenoid.Results: 1. The dates on behalf of the development of maxilla and mandible: SNA angle is on department of the position of maxilla, the SNA angle of two groups is the same with each other. SNB angle is on department of the position of mandible, the SNB of experimental group is smaller than the control group. We can still inferred that the mandible of the children who have enlarged adenoid is afterward and shrunk, but the"P"is a little larger than 0.05; ANB is on department of the position of mandible relive to maxilla, it is the poor of SNA and SNB. The ANB of two groups is significantly different with each other. We can inferred that the mandible of the children who have enlarged adenoid is afterward and shrunk. 2. The date which on behalf of the shelving and outstanding of upper and under incisor tooth: The U1-NA of the two groups which on behalf of the shelving and outstanding of upper incisor tooth have no significantly difference with each other on statistics. But the L1-NB of the two groups which on behalf of the shelving and outstanding of under incisor tooth have significantly difference on statistics, this means the under incisor tooth of the children who have enlarged adenoid is shelving to the lip. The angle on behalf of the shelving and outstanding of upper and under incisor tooth has significantly difference in the two groups. This indicate the raised incisor tooth of the children who have enlarged adenoid. 3. The date on behalf of the development of prominence : The FH-MP and Y-axis of experimental group which on behalf of the gradient of the mandible is obviously larger, indicate that the mandible rotated afterwards, the height of under face become larger, and the type of face became longer. 4. An index on behalf of the length of the palate: The ANS-PNS of the children who have enlarged adenoid is obviously difference to the control group, illustrate they have longer palate.Conclusion: Adenoid hypertrophy can produce a great impact on tooth maxillofacial growth. Firstly, the mandible rotated afterwards and was shrunk, the angel of mandible have a trend of bigger. This resulted the height of under face became larger and the type of the face became longer. Secondly, the angle between upper and under incisor tooth became smaller obviously, means the under incisor tooth of the children who have enlarged adenoid was shelving to the lip, the incisor tooth was expose to outside. Additionally, the children who have enlarged adenoid have longer palate. |
