Quantitative Observation On The Image Of Sinoatrial Node Of Sheep

Objective:To study the histological features of sinoatrial node(SAN) of sheep using light microscopy and image analysis system for quantitative analysis, which can be used of the accumulation of biological data in basic and for clinical research of heart morphological reference.Methods:The heart SANs from adult sheep were performed by conventional paraffin-embedded method, the slices were stained with HE ( hematoxylin and eosin ) . High-resolution color graphic analysis system was used to analyze feature of cells in SAN such as pacemaker cell(PC), transitional cell(TC), heart muscle cell(MC). The parameters of cell's diameter, area of nucleus, ratio of nuclear diameter and length of cell, karyoplasmic ratio were measured. All results were expressed as mean value±standard deviation, statistical significance was assessed using one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA).Results:The SAN spans in the end of the inferior vena cava between the most biased sulcus sinus cavity deep side of the top 3 with thin myocardium and superior vena cava or endocardium is separated from the rest some are located in the heart between the inside and outside the membrane. Overall shape of the SAN are wider, extending down the tail, has been extended to the mouth of the inferior vena cava. Atrial junction between the sides and interspersed with each other in some places, some places significant limits. Transverse fibers spread in the upper part of a wavy side of the border confrontation and sinus cavity side extension. Surface of SAN is epicardial tissue, the deeper tissue consists of part of muscle tissues, P cells and T cells. Diameter of P cell is 8.58±0.10μm,area is 235.93±5.38μm2,karyoplasmic ratio is 0.55±0.04,ratio of nuclear diameter is 3.46±0.35, Diameter of T cell is 14.25±0.12μm,area is 500.45±9.84μm2,karyoplasmic ratio is 0.31±0.03,ratio of nuclear diameter is 1.25±0.24,Diameter of heart muscle cell is 20.32±0.17μm,area is 1130.36±19.26μm2,karyoplasmic ratio is 0.18±0.02,ratio of nuclear diameter is 3.46±0.35, sinus node artery, mostly in the end the edge of the collagen fiber-rich knot.Conclusion:The position of SAN in sheep's heart is different from other mammals. The structure of SAN cell is similar to human and other mammals. P cell, T cell and M cell present various morphological structures in different mammals.
