Removable partial denture is one of the primary dentition defect repair methods, however as an allograft material restorative material into the oral environment may change oral micro-environment and cause dental carvies, periodontal disease, denture stomatitis as time going. Adhesion is the first step of microbial pathogens in the repair of surface, due to material type, surface shape, acquired pellicle, saliva composition, and many other factors, To conclude, thus microbial adhesion is a complex process. Objective:To study the differences of bacteria adhesion commonly used materials of RPDs, such as acrylic resin, cobaltch chromium alloy (Co-Cr alloy),titanium alloy and pure titanium (pure Ti),which on the surface adhesion effects of Streptococcus mutans UA159,Actinomyces viscosus ATCC15987,Actinobacillus actinomy yectem comitansAa ATCC2452,Candida albicans ATCC1023,Lactobacillus ATCC4356 in vitro. To evaluate the effect of 4 commomly used prosthesis materials on periodontal tissue, in order to provide guidance and clinical for repairing material to prevent caries disease, periodontal disease, and denture stomatitis, and fundamental basis for electing restorative materials in oral application.Methods:240 specimens (10mm x10mmx1mm) were divided into 4 groups which were acrylic resin, cobaltch chromium alloy, titanium alloy and pure titanium.400 and 800, 1000 mesh small sand paper burnish hind, use auto-merging metallographic inlaying machine Mosaic, metallographic polishing. We measured surface roughness with on significance in statistics.one group with 4 specimens put into Streptococcus mutans,Actinomyces viscosus,Actinobacillus actinomy yectem comitans,Candida albicans,Lactobacillus single bacterium fluid medium, cultivate for 24 hours,48 hours, 168 hours.the quantification of the attached bacteria on the surface of the material was assayed by means of colony forming unit (CFU)Results:1, four types of repair materials will lead to the adhesion of bacteria, Streptococcus mutans and Actinomyces adhesion are higher.2, cobalt-chromium alloy and titanium alloy on the adhesion of bacteria have no significant difference, which are a little lower than the adhesion of pure titanium materials, the adhesion capacity of resin is the highest.3,as time increases, the amount of bacteria on the adhesion of materials within a week tended to increase, Streptococcus mutans rise not obvious between 24 hours and 48 hours, increase significantly between 48 hours and 168 hours. Conclusions:Commonly used materials of RPDs can cause bacterial adhesion, the most obvious is resin.Prompting attention to cleaniness when dentition defect patients use RPDs. Material on bacterial adhesion to the specimen in a week tended to increace. As far as,we speculated that restoration influence oral micro-environment after insertion of a long-term. Dental plaque accumulate in complex environments, and when this balance can gradually reach to a new "denture of balance", and different surface composition of the acquired film What is the difference and its molecular mechanism of bacterial adhesion remains to be discussed.
