[Objective]:To study the effect of Notoginsenoside Injection treatment on mouse pancreas cancer cell(MPC) proliferation, apoptosis, migration and invasion.[Methods]:We used MTT assay to measure cell viability of MPC at different Notoginsenoside concentrations and time interval to determine the optimum Notoginsenoside treatment effectiveness. Under these experimental conditions, we also examine the cell morphological changes using the microscope. We used flow cytometry to analyze MPC cell cycle modifications under Notoginsenoside treatment. We used cell scratch test to investigate cell migration and invasion.[Results]:Under in vitro condition, we observed more than95%MPC cells alive. The cells reached the logarithmic grow phase after24hour of culturing. The MTT test was performed48hours cell inoculation, and it showed time and dose dependent effects of the Notoginsenoside.Flow cytometry assay showed the apoptotic cell ratio increases as the drug concentration increased. The transwell and cell scratch test showed that the Notoginsenoside could prohibit cell migration and invasion.[Conclusion]:Our study showed that Notoginsenoside treatment can prohibit MPC cell proliferation in a does and time dependent manners. We also fornd that Notoginsenoside could induce cell apoptosis, and reduce cell migration and invasion. Therefore, we postulate that the Notoginsenoside treatment has potential in treating pancreas cancer.
