Any artistic subject has its own form, including the sculpture art in the field of plastic arts of. In China, since primitive society, there was painted pottery that was unique and diverse. Since slave society, there were patterns which are ferocious and decorative. There were the tomb stone of Huo Qu Bing which was feudal initial round and romantic feudal lines of Dun Huang Murals.With the history the ups and downs five thousand year Chinese civilization, sculpture gradually become more abundant. It shows its unique artistic charm. Regardless of changes, it is not difficult to find these art treasures had a basic form of the shape which will always be inseparable from the point, line and surface of these elements.Meanwhile, throughout the ages, quite a large number of western sculptors focus their study on the forms combined by these funder mental elements including dots, lines, and faces, and produce many sculptures characterized by strong visual impact, such as Constantine Breathe pointncusi, forerunner of modern sculptures in the 20th century, who studied these funder mental elements through his life. His Sleeping Muses can be regarded as a work of points, separation or start. His Space Bird can be deemed as a combination of lines, motion or elapse. His Endless Column is composed of dots, line, then into the surface, eventually becoming infinite possibility and also a tribute to the infinite finite.It is these works break the tradition of the Gothic arts of sculpture, and stimulate the sows re-acquainted with the awareness of sculptural form. From this, it is wide and common that both Eastern and Western sculptors adopt dots, lines and surfaces in their works. This looks like a manifestation rather than imitation. This thesis intends to pay more attention to its use and development which should not be evaded.In this chapter, the author firstly analyzes some classic works of East and West sculpture in different periods, and make the readers understand the expressed function of point, line and plane in the language of sculpture through surface trivial burdensome. At the same time, the author uses the point, line and plane as the basic language to express the space relationship between shapes and shapes, which is the preconditions for doing sculpture better. Then during the long written composition, the author not only adds self-Interpretation of point, line and plane, but also makes detailed and concrete analysis and study that gradually permeate into the synthetic sculptures, abstract sculptures and decorated sculptures. Being as the practitioner of sculpture art, the author uses the basic theories, makes the study as the purpose, makes the point, line and plane as the method to study the development and application of point, line and plane in the language of sculpture, which can help us understand the regularity and order in the language of sculpture, and the readers can consciously make a bridge which bears the understand and of interpretation of the artists.
