From The Ultimate Rebel Quiet Sad

Jack Kerouac is the representative figure of"the beat generation"in USA in 1950s.His novel fully demonstrated his experience for spirit pursuit with his members as the"king of the beat". Follow his different periods of his novels, I find that his mentality which was conveyed in his works was obviously changed with times, which showed that Jack Kerouac was very studious in his way on spirit pursuit. This paper is trying to analyze the experiences in Jack Kerouac's spirit pursuit and reveal the rules by combing and studying the novels in his different creative periods.There are five chapters in this paper. The first chapter is going to introduce the background and the source of"the beat generation". There are going to be the detailed analyses about Jack Kerouac's representative novels from the second chapter to the forth chapter. The second chapter is to the text On the way for a major analysis Kerouac who was in a blind quest in the first phase;the third chapter is to the first part of Desolations angels and Dharma bums which will analysis that Kerouac who draw support from religious from the original blind frenzy to a temporary peace of mind ;the fourth chapter is to Lonesome traveler and the second part of Desolations angels , visitors for a detailed analysis the psychological changes of Kerouac in the world after the mental change. The fifth chapter is going to analysis the struggle of Kerouac's spirit world which was last for all his life. The last chapter is about the conclusion of this paper, which summarized the front four chapters and drew a conclusion that there are three stages in Jack Kerouac's spirit pursuit, which is"in worth","out worth"and"back to worth".
