A Rural Women's Christian Faith

This paper focuses on a rural woman, through observation on her for a long time, and study on her Oral history, combining with local social culture and change of religious life, trying to analyze the rural women converting to the Christian's deep reason, and exploring Christian as an alien religion in rural, why developed so quickly,First, the protagonist of this oral history analysis, we can find the rural women choose Christian's deep reason. Previous study of the causes is more superficiality, such as cu low academic, poverty, disease etc, but the men living in the same rural social life have no choice to Christianity. Using the "gender" theory, combining with the fact that the heroine in childhood experiences, it is not hard to find the social culture affected her and made her lose the education opportunity. When she encountered unpleasant in her marriage life, she have no choice but accept Christian.Second, in recent years, the rapid development of Christianity in countryside, make the traditional Chinese folk belief has been eroded. Through the observation, on the heroine's daily life, it can be found in rural the Christian has its unique communication mechanism. Combining with "religious market theory", this paper analyzes the reasons for the rapid development of rural Christianity. The heroine in life from the current, she objectively promotes the spread of Christianity. In her daily life, she always presents Christian to the families or friends or strangers. The enthusiasm for spreading Christian of Christians, making the believers in rural grow, meanwhile the market of folk belief is shrinking.
