The Study On The Thoughts Of Documentation Science Of Wang Liqi

As the philologist of reading Confucian classics, history, philosophy and literature extensively, Wang Liqi makes a lot of literature sorting in his lifetime, which includes reorganizing, supplementing and proofreading predecessor's writings and compiling lexicographical works. On the one hand, literature sorting is an essential part of his academic activities; on the other hand, it is the important foundation for the forming of his philology thoughts and methods. And the achievements of these literature sortings also make considerable contribution to the preservation and perfection of classical literature. As the academic status of Sinology Master, Wang Liqi is already known to academic circle at that time and later generations. But it mainly focuses on the research of people and scholarly method or the research on various achievements of Wang's philology, in the matter of placing his philological thoughts under the larger academic background to observe and study the relation between Wang Liqi and Chinese philology development for determining how Wang Liqi inherits and develops Chinese philology and how it influences the later philology, it is almost still wanting.
