Linguistic Study On The "Kumsansa-Mongyurok"

This paper is going to use synchronic and diachronic combination methods to analyze characteristic of the speech mark, vocabulary, grammar usage in the Kumsansa Mongyurok.Kumsansa Mongyurok has two versions. One is Chinese original version, the other is Korean translation version. This paper adopts Korean translation version which edited in 1917. Although Kumsansa Mongyurok is Modern Korean initial literature, the linguistic feature is more closer to modern Korean.This paper, after-analyzing the documentation, and has reached the following conclusions:First. The paper examines various phonetic changes, including velarization, aphaersis, coda tag. Material not only lacks standardization in written, does not use any symbols, besides the writing methods of form and sound are mixed use d. Hence, it comes out to the conclusion that the sound of word is similar to t hat in modern time, but still not completely free from modern sound features.Second. This paper illustrates the characteristics of vocabulary in bulk. Conclusions are as follow: Materials applies lots of Chinese characters. We can find that Chinese characters obviously are higher than the original characters in the Korean vocabulary system. Not only some original characters are instead of Chinese characters, some of the words used in this material has already not existed or not use in the modern Korean language.Third. This paper uses concluding and exemplifying method to prove the grammatical features which reflects in Kumsansa Mongyurok. In the field of morphological characteristics, due to the break of vowel harmony, and the endings does not distinguish from positive words and negative words, instead, they show arbitrariness.The above research results provide certain reference value for the Literature study and Korean language system research.
